After weeks of hard work, pain, tears and break-throughs, it was time to celebrate at the finale and there were certainly a lot of reasons to do so. All the contestants looked incredible (and the trainers) and just glowed with health. The glam treatment highlighted their transformations and every contestant, not only Lisa, was sporting a winner’s smile. Lisa’s look of surprise when she won was possibly only matched by our surprise when we saw the Commando in a suit!
The finale capped off a special week for the final six contestants, who enjoyed some extraordinary experiences – a welcome respite from nervously contemplating who was going to be in the final four. The sight of Shannon and Daina perilously clinging to some extremely narrow ladders 1000 feet above the ground in the Blue Mountains took our breath away.
It was a week of great heights as Phil and Joe made a spectacular return from their Outback exile by skydiving out of a plane to land in front of their surprised fellow contestants. Phil and Joe were also able to finally try on their dream outfits when they arrived at Camp Biggest Loser. Seeing the remaining contestants try on these emblems of change they have walked past day after day in glass cases is always gorgeous to watch. The amazement and delight as the contestants look at themselves in the mirror is heart warming and Lisa finally fitting into her wedding dress again was very touching. Our admiration also goes out to Daina for her bikini dream outfit – brave choice, girl, and you looked fantastic!
Joe (who won his weigh-in against Phil when they returned from the Top End), Shannon, Wayne and Lisa were this year’s final four and well done to all of them. Congratulations to Lisa for making history with her big win, and congratulations to every contestant for turning their lives around. Looking good, guys!
