Lost 19kg
Starting Weight: 95kgCurrent Weight: 76kg
I've been fat since I was eight. As I got older my serving sizes got bigger and I found more excuses to avoid exercise. It didn't help that I was terrible at sport and couldn't even ride a bike. Exercise in general was embarrassing as I was unfit and completely uncoordinated. I ignored my displeasure at seing my size for a while but then I ballooned in July last year. It got to the stage that I winced when I saw a facebook reminder of being tagged in a photo, hoping I didn't have a double chin. In August I decided to eat better and smaller; my serving sizes of food decreased and I drank only water with each meal. When school finished in October I started walking daily. I decided not to change my life too radically and see if the weight would fall off gradually. Luckily, it did. Two months later, with Graduation right around the corner, I had lost 13.5kg and people were starting to notice. My big moment of truth came when I had to pick an outfit for Graduation and found that my formal outfit was too big. I then raided my closet and found that nothing properly fit me anymore. I had to resort to rummaging through my basketball-playing older brother's wardrobe to find something that actually fit me. For once I didn't feel huge next to my friends or family, most of whom are tiny. Since then I've lost roughly 19kg and I feel like I can properly put the past behind me and beging a new chapter in University.
