Caitlin has been overweight since she can remember. She was bullied at school because of her size and has been traumatised by this experience. On top of that her mum tragically died when Caitlin was only 16 years old. She was very close to her mum and the impact of her death caused Caitlin’s depression and as part of that she resorted to comfort eating.

She is in a perpetual cycle of misery because of her weight and has isolated herself from others only spending time alone or with her sister Dania who she is taking part in Biggest Loser with.

Caitlin admits that she and Dania are a bad influence on each other where food is concerned and eat lots of junk food together. She is frightened she won’t live to see 30 because of her weight.
