Daina started gaining weight when she began working for McDonalds at the age of 16. Her diet went downhill from there and since then she has gained around 5kg a year every year.

Dania is taking part in Biggest Loser with younger sister Caitlin and feels they both lack motivation and hinder one another with their love of junk food.

Both suffered when their mum died tragically in 2002 but Daina worries about Caitlin being depressed and doesn’t want to end up the same way. Daina is terrified Caitlin is killing herself with food so wants to lose weight for both their sakes.

She is in a happy relationship with boyfriend Tony but fears she will lose him if she doesn’t shed the weight as she holds back in the relationship because she’s too conscious of her body.

Daina says she’s never felt comfortable in her own skin and dreams of the day she can wear a bikini and feel comfortable.
