    David The Biggest Loser 2010
    Date: 9/04/2010

It swung the balance of power in the house.

    Hi,

Major achievement today - I’ve now hit size 34 jeans, so 87 in metric. I would’ve come in here at 132 pants, I’m now in 87 pants. It’s a major achievement. Size 34 jeans!

For me, it’s been a tough week but I came off the back of a pretty good weight loss at the last weigh-in – that was Biggest Loser of the week for the fourth time.

All the eliminated contestants came back this week which was a bit of a challenge - it made the house very noisy. To see them run the marathon, it was pretty tough standing on the sidelines not being able to compete because of my injury, but the result went well for me with Wayne and Diana coming back, my old alliance buddies. It swung the balance of power in the house. I got to see my lovely wife Jackie at the marathon which was fantastic.

And then suddenly the house was empty and there are now five of us. With the alliances, I’ve gone from being an island by myself to now we have the balance of power - three on two. So it’s been a pretty eventful week, hard to keep focused, but I’ve got my focus back with weigh-in just around the corner.

Hopefully I’ll be here until the end. I hope so. The big thing for this week was after the last weigh-in I hit 95.4kg and that puts me in my healthy weigh range in the BMI. It’s the top end but I’ve finally cracked my healthy weight range, it’s fantastic. To come in here morbidly obese (on their scale I think it’s severely obese) and crack through the moderately obese weight range and then the overweight weight range, and now to be in the healthy weight range is a really good feeling.

Love to my wife and my kids, I love them to bits and they’re keeping me in here and motivated. A big hello to all my god kids, I’ve got seven of them. There’s Ally, Lillian, Nathaniel, Joshua, Nicholas, Paris and Elijah - a big hello to them. A big hello to everyone at the Southport school, the people covering my job, I know they’ll be going nuts with me getting this far and there’s 1350 boys there who I’m sure are watching. My daughter and son are at Coomera Anglican College and I know they’re going nuts as well, so a big hello to everyone at Coomera Anglican as well. All the members and supporters of South Sydney Rabbitohs – love the Rabbitohs! I know they’re going to have a tough season ahead of them; it’d be nice for them to win the premiership this year! That’s what I’m hoping.
