David has always been defined by his weight. He was bullied at school for being fat and even now is labelled as ‘big fella’. He hasn’t taken his shirt off in public for 20 years and is embarrassed by the amount he sweats in business meetings.

David admits to comfort eating and blames his difficult upbringing for this. His biological father left his mother when he was only three months old and his mother was always hard on him growing up. He is no longer on speaking terms with his mother.

David is taking part in The Biggest Loser with his friend Phil. They are a bad influence on each other and often meet up for chips and beers.
