Alas, we might never know the answers to these questions as another week of The Biggest Loser winds up with Wayne being eliminated (after volunteering to leave) by Daina and Caitlin.
The sisters had their work cut out for them last week after they were pitted against the other couples for the weigh-in. They came through splendidly, though, demonstrating they could beat the other couples’ average percentage weight loss - with or without the 2kg advantage they had won in the challenge.
The challenge also gave us more Phil joy, when he refused to pull up his pants while competing, such was his determination to win. Red is his preferred colour, apparently, not grey. Seeing Phil with his gorgeous family was certainly heart-warming and we’ll continue wishing this very funny and nice man all the best in the competition. He has to stick around to make us laugh!
Everest survivor, Lincoln Hall was just the inspiration the contestants needed last week to battle through. His incredible story and his enduring love of climbing, despite the injuries he suffered, impressed everyone. As did the contestants’ handy way with transforming a pile of junk into exercise equipment. Who thought inside our messy sheds and garages are home gyms just waiting to punish us?
After such a nail-biting weigh-in and elimination, the shocks kept coming when Hayley revealed the contestants were to don their new black t-shirts and compete as singles. We also found out where each contestant is sitting individually in the competition, with Dave and Phil topping the leaderboard. Lisa's fourth place position as the biggest losing female was a great surprise and seemed to open up the eyes of her fellow female competitors as well!
