Geoff started gaining weight after the death of his sister Robyn from Crohns disease. Only three days after her death, Geoff’s wife had a quadruple heart bypass so Geoff turned to comfort eating in an attempt to cope. He also suffers from rheumatoid arthritis which he developed after he stopped playing sport ten years ago. His weight has made this even more painful.

Geoff used to be solid muscle and weigh 100kgs having been in the army for 20 years and running 5kms everyday. When he left the army and started work as a schools officer he let himself go and lived off take-aways.

He is taking part in The Biggest Loser to try and have a better quality of life and for his wife and kids.
