It takes time and effort to make a dramatic improvement in your physical health, and you might not yet be ready to make that kind of commitment.
Nevertheless, there are lots of little things you can do that will help you feel and look better just as long as you stick to them.
First, think about what you put into your body. Processed foods, fats and oils, sugar, alcohol and caffeine will all affect your body's ability to flush itself out. You don’t have to be a wowser, but always be sensible about what you eat and drink.
When you’re choosing a food product you purchase frequently, look for something that’s good for you. The many varieties of Bürgen Bread for example let you choose from a selection of natural ingredients that will all make a positive contribution to your body’s health.
Look at the labels on all packaged foods and go for the ones that have the lowest fat content. Also, choose those that are highest in fibre. These foods are the least likely to lead to conditions like heart disease and high blood pressure.

Eat plenty of fresh food like fruits, vegetables, juices, lean meats and poultry. Once a week have oily fish such as salmon because it’s rich in long chain Omega-3 acids. If you’re ordering takeaway or dining out, avoid anything that’s fried, battered or fatty.
Smoking’s both unhealthy and pointless, but for those who are hooked, start cutting down before it’s too late. Even reducing your smoking by a cigarette or two a day is better than keeping on with a habit that can kill you.
Get some regular exercise. Just fifteen minutes of walking a day will increase your energy levels and improve your cardiovascular fitness. Thirty minutes is even better, but whatever you do, a little regular exercise should be a part of every day.
And finally, eat a healthy breakfast. When you start the day with something good in your stomach you’ll have the energy to cope with your morning tasks and you’ll also have less need to snack throughout the day.
Little things like these aren’t hard to do, but they’ll make in big difference in how you look and feel. When it comes to a healthy lifestyle, it’s the little things that count!
