Dave looks back on a big week in New Zealand.
"I think everyone sets a goal of being here for makeover, for one, and an overseas trip, if it's there, is another big milestone as well," says Dave. "To be in the house and to get that opportunity - I've never been to New Zealand - it was awesome."
"Everything was fantastic, I enjoyed every moment of it," smiles Dave. "I discovered a lot about myself. I think New Zealand was more about that emotional, intellectual, spiritual type development."
Dave explains that experiencing Maori culture played a great part in this - from cooking bush tucker and getting the hang of martial arts in Masterclass, to a very special Maori welcome from the locals.
The New Zealand trip saw the contestants tackle personal fears and phobias, as demonstrated by the SkyJump - a daunting leap off the Sky Tower in Auckland. "The SkyJump for me was probably the thing I feared the most," says Dave. "I don't like heights that much, and to be able to step off that building and jump, that was a pretty huge day for me and I'll never forget that."
Dave is now keen to go back to the Land of the Long White Cloud, which is fortunate seeing as he has a New Zealand adventure holiday up his sleeve from his temptation prize haul. Dave says that even if he hadn't won a NZ trip, he'd be planning to return to New Zealand with his family, "We only did Auckland and The Bay of Islands, basically, over there, but I saw enough to want to do more."
